During the beginning of August, Cabot Cabot & Forbes presented the 159-201 Washington Street redevelopment to the Boston Redevelopment Authority and the Boston Civic Design Commission.  The project team (Brian O’Connor, John Harding, Michele Quinn, and Eric Samuelson) is currently working through the Article 80 permitting and design process. The upcoming approvals schedule includes Community meetings, Impact Advisory Group meetings and various city agency meetings that will play a role in the further developing the project.

“Proposed 663,000 square foot redevelopment of the Saint Gabriel’s Monastery site into a 679-unit residential apartment community. The existing monastery and Pierce House would be restored, and four new buildings would be built. A new building for the Shrine to Our Lady of Fatima would also be constructed.

Per the project’s Expanded Project Notification Form (EPNF), resident amenities could include “a fitness center, indoor basketball court, common lounges, kitchens, games room, café, outdoor pool, outdoor grills, and a generous amount of hard and soft landscaped areas.” A total of approximately 395 parking spaces would be constructed on site.” – BLDUP
