Breaking ground in Champaign, IL early this past May is Campus Living Villages (CLV)‘s student housing development Illini Tower. The renovation of this 16-story tower will serve as an off-campus living option for students attending The University of Illinois. The overall renovation will include updating the 926 units along with amenities such as fitness center, dining area, gaming spaces, study areas, lounges, and corridors. A ground floor addition will house a new lobby, student leasing center, and coffee shop. The addition, clad in a mixture of glazing and vibrant wall panel boasting university colors; abuts the tower’s front plaza which is being newly outfitted with outdoor lounge seating and a fire pit. Currently, Illini Tower is projected to be completed by the end of summer 2018.
