Aaron Bancroft, AIA
Senior Associate Principal

Our resident Renaissance man with a tremendous eye for detail.

Aaron has a deep love of art and form. While still in high school, he researched Mies van der Rohe and was inspired by painting, freehand drawing, and woodworking classes. While at Syracuse University, he studied architecture in Florence, Italy, sketched the ruins of Pompeii, and toured the works of Peter Zumthor in Switzerland and the ancient ruins of Greece. After graduating with an Excellence in Thesis Design award in 2001, he joined Wallace Floyd Design Group, focusing on transportation buildings, and then, Payette Associates, working on university lab buildings. He also taught model-making by hand and 20th Century architecture at the Boston Architectural College.

In 2005, he joined R.R. Simmons, an architecture/general contracting firm in booming Tampa. Working closely with field staff, he expanded his training in site-cast concrete, precast concrete systems, construction tolerances and sequencing. Projects included office buildings, parking garages and a sports facility at the University of South Florida.

CUBE 3 called Aaron back to Boston in December 2010, where he has been instrumental in dozens of projects, including Hines – Marina Bay, Arborpoint at Market Street and 23Twenty to name just a few. He has been a fundamental piece and now leads the companies QA/QC and Construction Administration protocols throughout the company. When he’s not hammering out precision details, he plays a strong left field for the softball team.  He enjoys summer trips to Kennebunkport, Maine, and Martha’s Vineyard, and has recently begun visiting Brazil, learning Portuguese in his spare time.
