Principal

Deep architectural know-how and tireless community commitment.

Doug has influenced complex buildings in and around Boston for more than two decades. After gradating from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1989 with two degrees – Bachelor of Architecture and Bachelor of Building Sciences – he was hired by Ellezweig Associates to work on projects including the Garage at Post Office Square, lab buildings at Boston College and Bryn Mawr College, and an Arts Building renovation at Mass. College of Art. Later, with Tsoi/Kobus and Associates (TK&A), he was job captain on both Magee Women’s Hospital, Pittsburgh, and the Suffolk Law School, Boston. Next, at ADD Inc., he met CUBE 3’s Nik Middleton and began working with CVS Corporation. In 2007, he joined CUBE 3, serving as an architect on many projects, including several more for CVS.

A historical preservation advocate, Doug is a board member for The Brooks Estate Land Trust and a member of the Medford Historical Commission. As a founding member of the Medford Green Line Neighborhood Alliance (MGNA), he successfully pushed for commuter rail expansion to Medford Hillside. Today he co-chairs a design & construction working group for Green Line Extension (GLX). A lifelong resident of Medford, Doug has traveled extensively in Europe and Asia.
