Everly Apartments

Wakefield, MA

Located immediately off of I-95 and Route 128, the Everly Apartment complex enjoys easy access to both Boston and the North Shore. The site is located within close proximity to wetlands, requiring the design team to work with a minimized development area and have low impact on the resource areas and floodplain. Due to this, the site had to be graded to elevate the building’s finished floor, while ensuring the surrounding development area remained unaltered.

The apartment building’s shape allows for a large common courtyard, which is shared by the residents and takes advantage of niches with multiple uses. Grilling areas, fire pits and a pool encourage use of the area by residents, and create not just a pleasant place to live in, but also a social and interactive community.
