The former IBM campus at 550 King St. in Littleton was awarded zoning change approval this week for a change in land use. The approval create a new zoning district, King Street Common, and paves the way to transform the 41-acre property into a complex with housing, small businesses, office space and parks. The CUBE 3 master plan proposes a retail and residential edge along King Street in addition to a centered public space with amphitheater and town hall. Plans include developing interconnected areas, with New England-style architecture consistent with the form-based code Town Meeting voters previously approved for the Town Common.
