Doug Carr,
Principal

Deep architectural know-how and tireless community commitment.

Doug has influenced complex buildings in and around Boston for more than two decades. In 2007 he joined CUBE 3 to serve as a Senior Project Manager/Executive on several projects for CVS, and throughout his years at the firm he has overseen a series of large multi-family housing projects including VOX on two in Cambridge, Rivers Edge in Medford, Modera Medford, Avalon Bay North Point 2 in Cambridge, Currents on the Charles in Waltham, and the Reserve at Burlington.

Currently, Doug serves as our COO, overseeing CUBE 3’s business operations across all three offices and executing the vision of our CEO. This includes executive oversight of the sector leaders in Design, Project Delivery, BD/Marketing, Accounting, IT, HR, Facilities, and QA/QC, to drive change and improve operations as our firm continues its expansion.

A historical preservation advocate, Doug is a board member for Medford-Brooks Estate Land Trust (M-BELT) and a member of the Medford Historical Commission. As a founding member of the Medford Green Line Neighborhood Alliance (MGNA), he successfully pushed for commuter rail expansion to Medford Hillside. A lifelong resident of Medford, Doug also serves on the Medford Community Preservation Committee, which distributes more than $1.2m in Community Preservation Act funds to dozens of community groups, non-profits and municipal projects, and as Second Vice President to the Mystic Valley Area Branch of the NAACP. When he’s not working tirelessly for his clients he enjoys traveling extensively throughout Europe and Asia.
