Port Chester, NY

The design for 406 Boston Post Road in Port Chester, NY proposes to transform a forgotten and out of date hospital building into an interactive mixed-use development. The site poses challenges, including steep grading changes and limited access points from the large road it abuts. However, Port Chester has the opportunity to draw in people coming from Manhattan, only 25 miles away, as well as the desirable, neighboring towns of Rye, NY and Greenwich, CT. The city has developed a comprehensive plan to improve their downtown, which serves as a guide to develop this community at Boston Post Road.
