This 9-story biotech research lab building in Medford MA will house multiple tenants studying low-hazard organisms. At the pedestrian level there will be retail and public spaces, outdoor seating, a hardscape public plaza and lush plantings to echo the flora of the Torbert MacDonald Park, Mystic River Reservation across the street All the service bays would be located to the rear so the building’s face to the sidewalk is a space that feels public, welcoming, a place where people want to be.
